LoL RPG Ruined King Launches; Further Single-player Games Announced

Today, marked the unexpected release of Ruined King: A League of Legends Story. Riot Games announced the release during a livestream held together with Nintendo. The presentation also touched on other single-player games set in the LoL universe.

RIOT GAMES' SINGLE-PLAYER TITLES:
  1. Ruined King - RPG, launches today.
  2. Song of Nunu - adventure game, release in 2022.
  3. Conv/rgence - 2D platformer, release in 2022.
  4. Hextech Mayhem - rhythmic auto-runner, launches today.

Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, an RPG set in the League of Legends universe, launches unexpectedly today. The fact that the game is now available was announced during a special event called Official Riot Forge Showcase, organized jointly by Riot Games and Nintendo.

Ruined King

Ruined King is a single-player game in which we can encounter well known characters from the fields of Summoner's Rift (including Braum, Ilaoi, Miss Fortune and Pyke). In terms of gameplay we focus on exploring the world, solving puzzles and turn-based team combat. Ruined King is available on PC (Steam, Epic Games and GOG.com), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.

Song of Nunu

However, the presentation did not focus solely on this one title. We also received a announcement of Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story, an adventure game, which, as you can guess from the title, focuses on the story of a boy named Nunu and his big furry friend, Willump.

Tequilla Works is responsible for the development of the game, and the publisher is Riot Forge. The developers didn't give an exact release date, but they announced that the title will appear next year on PC, PS4, PS5, XONE, XSX|S, and on Switch.

Conv/rgence

The third game mentioned during the show was Conv/rgence: A League of Legends Story, a 2D platformer that focuses on the adventures of Ekko, a young boy from Piltover with the ability to manipulate time. The game was announced some time ago, but only now Double Stallion - the studio responsible for the title - informed when we can expect the release. Similarly to the previously discussed position, it's scheduled for 2022. The game will be released on the same platforms as previous ones.

Hextech Mayhem

Finally, we should mention one more title from under the wings of Riot Forge, which launches today - Hextech Mayhem, a game from the auto-runner genre, in which our job is to perform tasks while running to the rhythm of music. We play as Ziggs, a character specializing in explosives. The title is available from today on PC, Nintendo Switch, as well as in Netflix Games.

We must admit that the single-player projects from Riot Games look ambitious. When we add to this the success of the Arcane series, which breaks popularity records on Netflix, we get the picture of a succesfully expanding brand.
