Roblox has Over 100 Million Active Players per Month
Roblox, a free virtual playground, has exceeded the limit of 100 million active users per month. The creators boasted the result on a press release. What does the Minercaft say about this?
Each of you must have heard of Minecraft. The popularity of this title is indisputable and has extends. far beyond video games. Do you remember Roblox, though? The title is only three years older (issued in August 2006) than the game from Mojang AB. It is no less popular, though, as it seems. According to the latest press message, Roblox has reached the 100 million active players per month mark. This is a result that beats even Minecraft, which at the end of last year could boast 91 million active accounts.
Roblox is a free platform available on PC, Android, iOS and Xbox One for creating your own games and scenarios. We can certainly call it a virtual playground. Reaching 100 million active users a month was celebrated by releasing exclusive limited items (virtual of course) for players, which can be obtained for free. The CEO of Roblox Corporation, David Baszucki, shared his thoughts on the development of the game:
“Roblox began with just 100 players and a handful of creators who inspired one another, unlocking this groundswell of creativity, collaboration, and imagination that continues to grow.”
Roblox wins the battle for active players so far. This does not mean, of course, that Minecraft is going to lay down its arms. Both platforms break popularity records on Twitch and YouTube. It is very possible that soon Minecraft will be in the lead. At this point it is also worth mentioning a certain "work", which may have indirectly contributed to the continued popularity of Roblox.
