Many people who are not familiar with Roblox, are familiar with the "oof" sound that was played in the games designed in the game during the death of a character. The funny sound is a star of many memes and is used so often that it's hard to imagine Roblox without it. Its supporters, however, will have to start getting used to the new deah noise, because the popular "oof" is disappearing from Roblox.

The end of "oof"

Recently Roblox posted news about the further development of the platform on its official profile on Twitter. What caught the most attention of fans was the news about the removal of the "oof" sound. As the developers themselves state, this happened due to licensing issues. The sound beloved by many players will be replaced by a different default noise.

There have been problems before

The decision to remove the "oof" was not made overnight. Back in 2020 we wrote about the fact that the creator of the popular sound signal - Tommy Tallarico - wanted to withdraw it from the platform due to copyright reasons. However, a joint decision was made, after which the "oof" was to stay in Roblox in paid form. Any player could buy this sound for 100 robux, or about $1. Unfortunately, now the sound is gone from the game for good.

"Oof" has admittedly gained fame thanks to Roblox, but it was first used in the 2000 FPS Messiah, on which the aforementioned Tommy Tallarico worked.
