The developers of Rust revealed some interesting stats, including the number of copies of the game sold. They also talked about plans for 2022.
Devs at Facepunch summed up the achievements of Rust so far, thanks to which we got to know a lot of interesting details about the results of this project. The creators also informed about the plans for the first few months of this year.
First of all, it was revealed that Rust's sales figure exceeded 12.4 million copies. In addition, players have purchased over one million copies of various DLCs. The Voice Props Pack DLC released last July is the best-selling expansion in the game's history.

In the eight years since the release of Rust in early access, the developers banned over 400,000 accounts. The all-time activity record is 267,211 players at the same time and 1.37 million people simultaneously watching broadcasts from the game on Twitch.
Last year was extremely fruitful for fans of Rust. The game received many expansions and finally came to consoles. The devs promise that also in 2022 fans will have no reasons to complain.
This year we can continue to expect monthly updates, which will traditionally be released on the first Thursday of each month. Between these big patches, smaller updates will be made available, fixing bugs and introducing holiday events.
In 2022, we will get a number of new monuments, i.e. structures generated by the game (rather than built by players) that cannot be destroyed. You can see the first of them, arctic in design, in the image above. Additional weapons, items, vehicles, animals and events are also planned. In addition, an update will be released in February that will improve many elements of the game.
