Facepunch, the studio responsible for Rust, has introduced a long-awaited update to the game, improving among others the operation of firearms.
Many fans of the survival game Rust will long remember the date of June 2, 2022, because on that day the devs at Facepunch published the latest, long-awaited update to their game on Steam. As we can read on the official website of the studio, it is the biggest patch since the release of the game. The developers informed then that some changes may be controversial for the players, but they are necessary to improve the gameplay experience.
The main issue emphasized by the developer, is the change concerning operation of weapons. As the studio explains, the original version of the mechanic was developed 7 years ago and has practically not been modified since then.


It is worth mentioning that the latest patch also fixes some elements introduced in the April update for the game..
Taking into account activity charts on Steam, the number of players has nearly doubled since the patch was introduced, with a peak of over 165,000. Therefore, it is easy to conclude that thirsty fans of the survival game from the Facepunch got down to testing the latest improvement.

Unfortunately, so far the update is available only on PC. At the moment the studio has not informed when the patch will hit the console players.
