Seth From First Red Dead Redemption Found in RDO Files

As reported by a member of RockstarINTEL team, one of the first updates to Red Dead Online added Seth, a character known from Red Dead Redemption. Unfortunately, currently he cannot be found in the game. It is unknown whether the character has been completely cut out or will appear in the future.

IN A NUTSHELL
  1. According to VideoTech from the RockstarINTEL team, in Red Dead Online files you can find a model of Seth - a character known from 2010 Red Dead Redemption.
  2. The model is said to have appeared with one of the first updates to Red Dead Redemption 2's online mode.
  3. For unknown reasons, it is not present in the game, but it is possible that it will appear in the future.

Fans of 2010 Red Dead Redemption probably remember Seth Briars - a peculiar grave robber, with which John Marston is working at one point of the game. People that feel nostalgia remembering this colorful character may have been a bit disappointed that he did not appear, even in the form of easter egg, in Red Dead Redemption II. It seems, however, that he was to play a role in Red Dead Online. At least that's what Twitter user VideoTech, member of the RockstarINTEL team, says. He reported that one of the first updates to Rockstar's latest cowboy game included Seth's model, whose file is labelled "CS_MP_Seth".

The character of Seth in Red Dead Online was said to have 47 recorded dialog lines (VideoTech promised to make them available soon). They suggest that he was to be part of a larger mission. Unfortunately, it is not known why he was eventually cut and whether he disappeared from the game for good. It is possible that his task will come back in the future with some content update, for example on the occasion of Halloween.

Seth's model is not the only one to appear in Red Dead Online with the update called MP001. Besides it, a "Camp cook" was also added. It was also eventually removed from the title.

It's worth noting that Seth, assuming he would finally show up, wouldn't be the only side character from Red Dead Redemption who would get a guest appearance in Red Dead Online. During our journey through New Austin w can also meet Bonnie MacFarlane from MacFarlane ranch.

Would you be happy finding Seth in Red Dead Online?

If you would like to see Seth again and hope that Rockstar hasn't abandoned the idea of adding him to Red Dead Online for good, we would like to remind you that this mode is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as part of Red Dead Redemption II.
