How to get new seeds?

There are several ways to gain new seeds. The simplest of these is to buy them from ships coming to the dock. They can also be ordered there. However, such orders can be placed once a year and cost a lot of money.

You can also trade seeds with another ruler - Carlos. If you raise your reputation with him to lvl 4, you will be able to buy all seeds from him. You need a Trading Post for this.

Some seeds can only be obtained by trading with other rulers. They will be unlocked for you if you reach the appropriate level of reputation with the proper faction.

1. Cactus and Tequila seeds – Carlos;
2. Date seeds – Rania;
3. Bamboo seeds – Miao.

Look for seeds on your map, too. Each map has a number of free seeds to collect. You will recognise them by the green leaf icon. All you have to do is send your people to this place or build a Gatherers Hut in the area. Remember that the plant can die, so don't wait too long.

How to grow new plants

Once you have acquired the seeds, you need to plant them. There are structures for this. The main ones are Fields (for most plants) and Orchards (trees). Some special crops need Nurseries. These buildings can be found in the Agriculture tab (default shortcut "2"). Also remember that many crops die during the winter.
