Simulated open world in classic MMORPGs style, but for single player. Erenshor gets very positive reviews on Steam
Erenshor is an unusual single-player title, simulating the MMORPG genre. Players liked such an experiment.

Do you like MMORPG games, but you are not a fan of people? This question might sound a bit strange, as it is essentially the basis of these games, but of course, it may not appeal to everyone. If that is the case, a newly released Erenshor comes to the rescue.
Erenshor some info
Erenshor is a game for a single player. This is a really important fact because the game from the independent, one-person studio Burgee Media simulates an MMORPG. The game world has been filled with hundreds of NPCs (called SimPlayers), who imitate real players. They still exist in it, they develop independently of us and are always ready to join our party.
As befits a game modeled on the MMORPG genre, in Erenshor we choose a character class and enter an open world, where we can spend "tens, even hundreds" of hours developing our character and finding thousands of different items. There are also elements like guilds, raids, dungeons, and even chat. Moreover, we can easily kill any NPC and take their equipment, which affects the relations between factions.
The combat system is similar to the one in the basic version of World of Warcraft, where you automatically deal blows while standing and choose abilities. The creators openly admit that when making "Erenshor," they drew inspiration from classic titles of the late 90s and early 2000s in the genre.
Erenshor - players reception
Although it might seem that this kind of title doesn't make much sense, the reality is quite different. Erenshor was released yesterday in early access on Steam, and at its peak, 1096 people were playing it simultaneously (via SteamDB). This is a great result for this type of game.

At the time of writing this text, the game had 142 reviews, of which 94% are positive. Players praise the atmosphere of old MMO games, which Erenshor recreates. At the same time, playing a single-player game allows you to have fun at your own pace without feeling pressured by the environment.
Erenshor is only available on PC. The developers assume that early access will last about 18 months. Until April 21, the game can be purchased on Steam for $17.99 (a special offer). A free demo is also available.
