This Skyrim Project Revolutionizes FPP Mode Experience

The Comprehensive First Person Animation Overhaul project has been released, thoroughly revamping thousands of FPP animations in Skyrim.

Despite its age The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition still regularly receives new and ambitious fan projects. One of the most recent is the mod called Comprehensive First Person Animation Overhaul (CFPAO for short), which completely revamps the game's first-person animation system.

The author, a fan by the handle Polar, has introduced literally thousands of new animations, replacing all the old ones assigned to the game's FPP view. The new versions are much more detailed and natural, resembling what modern first-person games offer.

Not just a swap

In addition to replacing existing animations, the author also introduced several new ones, depending on the type of weapon. Thanks to this, axes, maces and daggers get their own unique movements and the character no longer swings them identically to a sword. The mod is superbly developed and significantly enhances the gameplay in first-person mode.

Although The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition is over 7 years old at this point, the game is still very popular. Yesterday on Steam, at the hottest moment of the day, this game was played by 26 thousand people, which is a result that most launches can only dream of.

The key role in this is played by mods. In this regard, the game from Bethesda is currently experiencing a golden period - this January, players downloaded 113 million mods for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition from NexusMods, which is a record result in the history of this website.
