Sonic's appearance was not received with enthusiasm.

A few days ago, the first trailer of Sonic the Hedgehog, a cinema adaptation of the popular Sega platformer series, was released. The teaser trailer caused very negative reactions, mainly due to the appearance of the hero. Fortunately, the producers decided to listen to these voices and the design of the blue hedgehog will be changed.

This decision was announced on Twitter by film director Jeff Fowler. He thanked the fans of the brand for paying attention to this problem and promised that the appearance of the hero would be changed to meet the expectations of the audience.

The film will be released in November and Paramount hasn't changed this date yet. The creators do not have much time to introduce the necessary changes. Fans hope that if developer's of the movie don't manage to do it on time, the release will be postponed.

Games are not lucky for cinema adaptations. This year's Pokémon: Detective Pikachu has a chance to change that. The trailers of this production were accepted much warmer than those of Sonic. The creators have made some changes to the creature's designs so that they fit into the movie with the cast of actors, but all the Pokemons have retained the classic look of the game.

Sonic, on the other hand, does not present itself convincingly in the movie version. Instead of a living creature, he looks like a man dressed up in a cheap costume of this character. Paradoxically, by trying to increase the realism of the protagonist's project, the creators have achieved an effect that does not look natural.

After seeing the trailer some Internet users started to post their own interpretation of the hero to suggest how Sonic should look like in a real life adaptation.
