In less than two weeks the PlayStation Forum will be closed.

Sony has just announced that the PlayStation Community Forum will close on February 27. It was a place where fans of the brand could talk about game-related topics and more.

Not all users of the forum are delighted with this decision. Some of them have been active on it for many years and thanks to it they made many new acquaintances or simply have had a nice time. Sony of course encourages the use of its other social networking websites - blog, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Technical support will still be available at this address.

It is worth recalling that this is not the first such situation in the video game industry. Back in 2016, BioWare closed its discussion forum and decided to opt for newer social media. This may come as a surprise to some, but it is worth keeping in mind that nowadays players are more likely to use more the modern Discord communicators, which simply make contact with other users much easier.
