Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order with Boss Battles, but Without DlC

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will offer bosses and opponents who require special strategies," says Stig Asmussen, the game's director. What's more, the title will not get any DLC in the future.

For a few days now we have known the release date of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order' and we are learning new information about the game every day. We learned the price of the PC version and the available game editions and we also know that the game will be action-focused. This last message was confirmed by Stig Asmussen, the game's director. Among other things, this information was referred to by a Press-Start editor, who had the opportunity to have a conversation with the developer.

We can learn from the interview that the title will require the player to adopt various strategies during fights. As a Jedi Knight, we will have to learn how to deal with a particular type of enemy and their entire groups. The developers admit that they have created opponents, which will require a specific tactic and an appropriate set of skills and tools to defeat. The opponents are supposed to remind (in terms of mechanics) those from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Fans will also be pleased to know that Stig Asmussen confirmed when asked if there would be boss battles in the game:

Yes, certainly. There’ll be bosses in the game.

We will encounter many kinds of opponents in the game.

The director was also asked about the game's difficulty level, in the context of the Souls series. He answered that it was impossible to make a melee action game without being at least a bit influenced by other titles. However, he admitted that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be a much easier production for new players. If, however, we would like to explore all the "secrets of the Force", then the game will show its hardcore potential. Fans of longer stories should be able to rest easy. Stig Asmussen is denying rumors that the new production will be short:

It’s not going to be a short game. I’ve read some stuff. Comments like, “Oh, it’s going to be a five-hour game,” after Vince [Zampella] announced that we’re going to be single-player only, and no microtransactions, and that kind of stuff. It’s going to be a quality experience.

More information on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderwill be known on this year's E3. But before that, we can find out more about the production from the Twitter of Jay Ingram, the community specialist. Fans should be reassured by the fact that Electronic Arts gave Respawn Entertainment a free hand in the production process. It is interesting that the creators do not plan any DLC for the game, explaining this with a desire to release a consistent and closed history.

The current information about the game is optimistic. A single-player action game, focused on telling a coherent and interesting story, and all this in a Star Wars sauce and created by a team that ate their teeth on action games - this can work. May all the admiration for the title prove true. We'll see about that on November 15, this year, when the game will hit PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
