Star Wars Outlaws as Highlight of Ubisoft Forward; Gameplay Available

Star Wars Outlaws was already shown in a trailer during the Xbox Games Showcase broadcast. Now the Ubisoft Forward presentation has brought the first gameplay from Ubisoft Massive's Star Wars game.

Xbox Games Showcase broadcast brought the first trailer of Star Wars from Ubisoft, but without gameplay footage. Fortunately, the company made good on its promise, so that Ubisoft Forward presented the first gameplay from Star Wars Outlaws. We have posted the video below.

The project, about which we first heard 2.5 years ago, was one of several Ubisoft titles we saw at presentations preceding the French publisher's broadcast. The game is set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, i.e. before the finale of the original saga.

This time we will not play as an aspiring Jedi or a commando of the old Republic, but Kay Vess, living - in keeping with the title - among the outlaws. Together with her companion (and mascot) Nix, the girl is trying to gain some freedom - an ambitious plan in the Empire, and even more so in a region ruled by ruthless syndicates.

However, as we saw in the first trailer, Kay somehow manages and is willing to take great risks to realize her dream.

Star Wars: Outlaws will debut next year. The title will be released on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
