Starfield was designed to give us dozens or even hundreds of hours of space exploration. However, the game can be completed much faster - this was proved by one player who decided to play the RPG in early access.

Micrologist - because that's the nickname used by the daredevil in question - reached the endcredits of Starfield after only 2 hours, 51 minutes and 42 seconds.. To make this possible, the player had to focus exclusively on the main tasks, ignoring everything that does not push the story forward.

A recording of this feat can be found at this link, but if you do not want to spoil the fun before starting your own adventure, we recommend postponing the screening until later (much later).

Starfield has not yet had its official premiere. The is scheduled to launch tomorrow, i.e. on September 6. The opportunity to experience the game earlier was given to those who chose the Premium edition, which enabled them play it as much as five days earlier.

And while Micrologist's achievement is truly impressive, it is to be expected that as the speedrunning community becomes more familiar with the game, this time will be dramatically reduced. For example Skyrim, which is also not one of the shortest titles, was completed in a record time of just 29 minutes and 42 seconds (via IGN).
