Stray Gets Age Rating in Korea; Release May be Near

Stray is an original TPP adventure game, in which we take on the role of a cat roaming a city inhabited by robots. Originally, the game was supposed to debut in late 2021, but it was delayed. Everything indicates that the release is getting closer.

Stray may fulfill the expectations of all fans disappointed with Cyberpunk 2077 - although at first glance it does not seem so. We are talking about a third-person perspective action adventure game. Or rather: third-cat perspective, because it is the (un)friendly feline that is the game's main character.

Stray's release date getting closer

The game has just received an age rating in South Korea. - people aged twelve and older can play it. This news suggests that the release of Stray is just around the corner and it is possible that the title will launch in the first half of 2022.

Based on how the Korean age-rating board justified its assessment, we know that Stray includes:

  1. References to drugs;
  2. Elements of mild violence;
  3. Bottles of alcohol;
  4. Battles with "non-humanoid creatures".

If anyone has been following the information coming out about Blue Twelve Studio's work, none of the above points should come as a surprise. We have seen everything in the trailer and gameplay published some time ago.

What is Stray about?

In Stray we play as a stray cat who got lost in a city controlled by artificial intelligence, somewhat reminiscent of Night City.

Our cat protagonist will have a faithful companion, a drone that will help them communicate with friendly robots, defeat enemy AI, and use equipment or open passageways that require opposable thumbs.

Stray is currently one of the most anticipated games announced for PlayStation. The publisher - Annapurna Interactive - has assured fans that the game will arrive later this year.

As you may remember, originally the game was supposed to debut at the end of 2021, but the developers announced that the release date got delayed to "early 2022." The fact that an age rating was issued is a bright ray of hope for all those who are waiting for the adventures of cats and robots.
