Stray Reaches Steam Bestsellers Followed by Spider-Man

Stray was the best-selling game on Steam last week. Dinkum and MultiVersus also recorded excellent debuts. In addition, pre-orders of Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered are in high demand.

As every Monday a list of the biggest (by revenue) bestsellers of the past week on Steam has been released.

The first place once again went to Steam Deck, but the rest of the list brought a lot of changes.

Stray's excellent debut

Among the games, the biggest hit turned out to be Stray.

  1. The game ranked as the second biggest bestseller on Steam last week. Above it is only Steam Deck.
  2. The game's success is not surprising, since the previous two lists included its preorders.
  3. The activity record is 62,963 concurrent users, which is the highest result in the history of games released by Annapurna Interactive.
  4. The game received a very warm reception - on Steam as many as 97% of user ratings praised the title, which is categorized as an "overwhelmingly positive" reception.

Hype for the PC release of Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered

In third place debuted the preorder of Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered. This is all the more of an achievement given that the game's release is not until August 12, more than two weeks from now.

Previous PC ports of Sony's console hits (God of War, Horizon: Zero Dawn and Days Gone) have proven to be big hits on Steam, and all signs point to Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered becoming another success.

Successful debuts of Dinkum and MultiVersus

PC gamers still can't get enough of role-playing games. The latest example of this has been the release of Dinkum, which debuted at number five on the list. This is an even more impressive achievement, since the production is relatively cheap - it costs less than $20. In addition, the game has 95% positive reviews on Steam.

A successful debut was also scored by the fighting game MultiVersus. It's a free-to-play game, the open beta of which will start tomorrow, but on Steam you can buy bundles that offer, among other things, early access. The cheapest of these, the MultiVersus Founder's Pack - Standard Edition, sold so well that it ranked ninth on the list. The game is also achieving impressive activity results - the record currently stands at 62,433 concurrent users on Steam.

Steam's biggest hits of the past week (by revenue)

Other games that continued to sell very well are Raft, Ready or Not and Elden Ring. Also returning to the top 10 after a brief absence is No Man's Sky.
