Today will mark the launch of early access for Six Days in Fallujah, the controversial tactical shooter we've been waiting fourteen years for.
This year brings us the release of games that seemed would never see the light of day. Two months ago, we finally got Dead Island 2, and in a few hours the release of Six Days in Fallujah will take place, a tactical shooter that many gamers have long written off.
The road leading to the release has been exceptionally bumpy for Six Days in Fallujah. After all, the game was announced as much as fourteen years ago. Initially, the publisher was to be Konami, but the company resigned. It was discouraged by the controversy surrounding the project. The developers were unable to find a new investor and work was suspended. The game resurfaced unexpectedly two years ago. Today we will find out if it was worth waiting so long.
The version that will debut today on Steam will offer a cooperative mode for up to four players and a set of 4 procedurally generated missions. It will also be possible to play through these challenges solo. Development plans include, among other things, new quests and a single-player story campaign.
Finally, it is worth mentioning the game's system requirements.
