Terminator: Dark Fate - Defiance is the New RTS From Syrian Warfare Devs

After the failure of Terminator: Dark Fate the cinematic series has been pretty much left to rot. As a compensation, the brand develops very nicely in video games. Terminator: Resistance - Annihilation Line was recently announced, and now Slitherine has revealed the strategy game Terminator: Dark Fate - Defiance. The project is being developed by Syrian Warfare's Cats Who Play. The game is intended only for PC, and its release is planned for the end of next year.

In terms of story, the game will be a prequel to Terminator: Dark Fate. The action will take place in the post-apocalyptic future, where the remnants of humanity undertake a fight with mechanical armies of murderous AI known as Legion. The plot will tell about the beginnings of the resistance movement.

Terminator: Dark Fate - Defiance will be a real-time strategy in which we will face both mechanical forces of Legion and hostile human factions. During the game we will use various types of firearms, combat lasers, drones and combat vehicles and flying machines. Along with progress in the game we will recruit new soldiers and develop their skills, as well as unlock increasingly better equipment.

The system of damage on machines promises to be interesting. Each of them will be built from many components, damage to which will affect the functioning of the unit. An additional attraction is the extensive mechanic of environmental destruction, which will be controlled by a realistic physics engine.

Apart from the story campaign, a multiplayer mode will be available in 1v1, 2v1 and 2v2 variants. Finally, it's worth mentioning that the game has already received a tab on Steam, thanks to which we got to know its system requirements.
