The first gameplay video from the strategy game Stargate: Timekeepers has hit the web. It reveals that the title is modeled on the Commandos series. We also got to know the game's system requirements.
In May this year, Polish studio CreativeForge Games - known for Phantom Doctrine and Hard West - announced Stargate: Timekeepers, a strategy game set in the universe of Stargate. At that time we received only a teaser, which didn't say much. Now we can finally see how the game looks like in action.
The video was released as part of a virtual event titled Home of the Wargamers 2021, dedicated to games published by Slitherine. The released video lasts over three minutes and offers the first gameplay footage from Stargate: Timekeepers.
The video shows a fragment of the second mission from the story campaign and gives a good idea of what kind of game this project will be. The whole thing is clearly modeled on the Commandos series, so we will get a stealth strategy game, in which we will perform tasks silently, trying to avoid detection. We will command five specialists with different skills.
The campaign will offer fourteen missions, and the decisions made during them will lead the story to one of several alternative endings. The characters will be trapped in a time loop, which will affect the gameplay, enabling us to travel into the past and change the results of previous missions.
Stargate: Timekeepers is coming exclusively to PC. For now, the developers have not revealed the planned release date. At the end it's worth mentioning that the game has already received tab on Steam, thanks to which we got to know its system requirements.
