Publisher May be Teasing Terminator: Resistance Sequel

Reef Entertainment started teasing a new project. There are many indications that either Terminator: Resistance 2 or an expansion to the first game will be announced next week.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Reef Entertainment teases a new project set in the Terminator universe;
  2. Most likely it's a sequel for Terminator: Resistance or a DLC for the game.

There are many indications that a sequel to Terminator: Resistance, the FPS from Teyon and one of the surprises of 2019, may be in production.

Reef Entertainment, the publisher of the game, posted a teaser on its Twitter account, containing a message from John Connor, a character well known to fans of the series. In it, he sends members of the resistance to investigate reports of missing residents of the Northridge outpost.

We are supposed to receive more information next week. So it seems that in a few days Reef Entertainment will announce either a DLC for Terminator: Resistance or a new game.

It's hard to say which of these options is more likely. Resistance is already over two years old, so a new expansion would be quite surprising. On the other hand, Teyon is currently busy working on RoboCop: Rogue City, and we don't know if the team has the capacity to simultaneously make a sequel to Terminator. Additionally, this year saw the release of a refreshed version of Resistance on PlayStation 5 this year, so the developers may want to take advantage of the renewed interest in the game to release an expansion. Of course, it could just as well be something completely new, such as a mobile game.

Regardless of what is ultimately announced, the prospect of continuing the story from Terminator: Resistance is attractive. Before the launch, no one expected anything good from this production, especially since the creators of the disastrous Rambo: The Video Game were responsible for it. What we got, however, was a surprisingly solid FPS that perfectly recreated the brand's atmosphere. One might even be tempted to say that this shooter is the best thing Terminatorfans have received in over a dozen years.
