Keanu Reeves Joins Star Wars; Cast in New Show From the Universe
The upcoming show set in the Star Wars universe surprises again. The production will feature Keanu Reeves.
We have great news for fans of Keanu Reeves and the Star Wars universe. As reported by Forbes, star of John Wick is set to appear in the upcoming Star Wars show - The Acolyte.
In the report, the aforementioned website did not specify what exact role the higly-popular actor will play, but it is known that it is to be a cameo. Thus, Keanu Reeves will join another star from The Matrix, Carrie-Ann Moss, who will also appear in the upcoming production. The actress is likely to play the role of a Jedi.
It seems that the makers of The Acolyte really want to positively surprise the viewers. After all, recently the series' showrunner, Leslye Headland, announced that Star Wars fans will get the kind of production that they have been asking for.
Recall that the show will be set at the end of the Great Republic period. The Acolyte is expected to strongly distinguish itself from other productions from the Star Wars universe. The show will take up the theme of the Dark Side of the Force and focus on its users. The show is expected to surprise viewers with great lightsaber fights and the introduction of interesting characters. That's because The Acolyte will feature Jedi Wookiee and Force users who are neither Sith nor Jedi.
Premiere of The Acolyte is scheduled for 2024.
