The Ascent is the Biggest Commercial Success Curve Digital's History

The Ascent has recorded the best debut in Curve Digital's history. The small Swedish team's cyberpunk action RPG is selling well and generating a lot of interest.

Cyberpunk action RPG The Ascent turned out to be a big hit. The publisher Curve Digital boasted that the game's revenues have already exceeded $5 million. This figure includes pre-orders and sales within the first three days of release.

This is the best debut in the history of Curve Digital. The exact number of copies sold was not provided, but the amount of revenue makes it possible to estimate it. Both on PC and on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S The Ascent is currently being sold for $26.99, so the game has probably sold about 180 thousand copies. That's an impressive result for a title from a small devteam.

Curve Digital points out that at the time of its release The Ascent landed on the first place of the Steam bestseller list, beating many high-budget AAA productions. It ultimately didn't hold that position long enough to become the week's top bestseller, but it still made it to number three.

Success of The Ascent was visible in other categories as well. Within the first three days of its release, more than 1,700 channels on YouTube and Twitch featured footage from the game, and together they were viewed ten million times. In addition, 90% of the largest industry media published content about this project.

The Ascent is the debut game of the Swedish studio Neon Giant. The game was released on July 29 on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. It is also available in the Game Pass subscription. The latter version leaves a lot to be desired in terms of technical condition, but the devs are already working on fixes.
