The sequel to Stoic’s successful Nordic-themed RPG is coming out next month. It was officially announced that The Banner Saga 2 will launch on Windows PC and OSX on April 19, 2016. Until then you can pre-order the game on Steam at a 10% discount for $17.99. Once it hits the shelves, the title will be back at its original price of $19.99 – expect no launch discounts. You may also want to check out The Banner Saga 2 Deluxe Edition, including the game itself and the original soundtrack, currently available for $22.49.
The Banner Saga 2 will invite you back to the fantasy universe inspired by the Scandynavian mythology. Once more you will command a band of brave Vikings who keep wandering the world to survive the end of their civilization. The sequel will pick up where the first game left off, building on the player’s choices from The Banner Saga. In jour journeys, you will encounter many fantastical creatures and fight many battles in a turn-based combat system.
The Banner Saga 2 is also coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and mobile platforms iOS and Android, but there is no saying when.
