The Bard's Tale IV new trailer features a three-headed dragon

In case you're wondering how is The Bard's Tale IV doing, inXile Entertainment has shared a new game trailer, which shows off its fantasy world and some unique creatures.

inXile Entartainment has got a lot on their plate these days. While the devs are still finishing up Torment: Tides of Numenera for the early next year release, and have announced Wasteland 3 just yesterday, there is still one more title they are working on – The Bard’s Tale IV. In order to assure the fans that the next installment in the cult classic cRPG series hasn’t got sidetracked the studio shared a new trailer with some in-game footage. The video gives a glimpse of the fairy tale atmosphere of the game as well as some of the fantastical creatures – like a three-headed dragon – we are going to encounter while venturing across the world of Caith.

The Bard’s Tale IV is the second title in the series developed by inXile. This time, however, we are not getting a comedy action RPG, which the 2005 The Bard’s Tale was, but a game truly rooted in the classic experience of the 1980s. While it’s going to offer modern 3D graphics as well a freely explorable open fantasy world, the old-timers will have an option of switching the animation to the classic tile-based movement, typical of old-school dungeon crawlers. The Bard’s Tale IV is scheduled to launch in October 2017 on PC.
