We finally lived to see the release of The Callisto Protocol, the horror game from Dead Space veterans.
The developers also released the game's roadmap for the coming months. On February 7, 2023, the game will receive an update that will add two new modes: hardcore and New Game+. This content will be free. On the other hand, as part of the paid Season Pass of The Callisto Protocol will be available at the following dates:

The game has managed to collecta lot of reviews online. On OpenCritic, the average rating is 75%. Below we cite sample ratings.
As you can see, the scope of ratings is very large and it's hard to talk about any consensus among the reviewers.
Generally good reviews are received for graphics and atmosphere. Mixed feelings are aroused by the plot, which is supposed to become intriguing only in the final stages of the campaign. In addition, most reviewers stress that there is nothing new here. What's worse, The Callisto Protocol is supposed to be a simpler game than Dead Space, with fewer puzzles and a more cliche combat system. However, most reviews claim that fans of the series will find a lot of noteworthy elements here, even if the whole thing feels more like a repetition instead of an exciting evolution of familiar ideas.
It is worth mentioning that on PC the game seems to have some major technical problems.
Therefore, if you intend to purchase The Callisto Protocol for PC, we advise you to hold off on the purchase until the first updates.
