The Cheapest and The Most Powerful - RTX 3050 and RTX 3090 Ti Launch Dates

Leaked information has emerged which suggests that the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti and RTX 3050 could hit store shelves as early as early 2022. Nvidia will thus complement the Ampere range with the weakest and the most powerful model.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • GeForce RTX 3050 and 3090 Ti are expected to hit stores on January 27, 2022 - at least according to a leak.

Courtesy of Videocardz, we've learned the reveal and launch dates for the GeForce RTX 3050 and RTX 3090 Ti GPUs. Both devices should appear in stores on January 27, 2022. On January 4 the weakest Ampere will get an official presentation. All of these revelation were leaked and come from "accidentally" revealed embargoed documents (although the information provided by VideoCardz is often confirmed). Videocardz info also reveals a RTX 3070 Ti with 16 GB of memory, which is expected to be released on January 11, 2022, and Nvidia may say something more about it already on December 17.

Most of the figures in the table have not been confirmed. The RTX 3090 Ti, contrary to earlier leaks, is still expected to be made using Samsung's 8nm lithography. More than 400 watts of power consumption seems like a lot - the cards are to feature a new type of PCIe Gen 5.0 power connector with 12 pins.

The RTX 3050 is expected to be the weakest chip of the Ampere generation. However, it is expected to be faster than the GTX 1660 SUPER and will rival the Radeon RX 6500 and Intel's Alchemist DG2-128 (ARC 380) cards. So far nothing is known about the price. It can be expected that the unit will be cheaper than RTX 3060.

Wccftech gives a suggested price of $1499 for the RTX 3090 Ti, and $599 for the RTX 3070 Ti 16 GB. Of course, you can't be sure about these totals, especially considering how the GPU market has been in recent times.
