The Crew Motorfest Leaks; Videos Show Game in Action

An leak has led to the release of a lengthy gameplay footage from the latest installment of The Crew. This happened less than a week before Ubisoft's big show.

Materials have leaked online showing gameplay from the upcoming The Crew Motorfest. Although the publisher's prompt response quickly led to the removal of the videos from the web, many Internet users have managed to watch and analyze them in the meantime (and even share shortened versions online, which are still available for viewing).

Unfortunate leak

Lasting more than 2 hours, the unofficial videos presented gameplay from the upcoming game by Ivory Tower. The deleted footage revealed information on a number of mechanics and elements.:

  1. the appearance and operation of the open world;
  2. vehicle customization system;
  3. weather systems and the day and night cycle;
  4. "library" of vehicles available in the game.

Although the identity of the original leaker remains unknown, according to information provided by insider-gaming.com the footage abounded with numerous system messages from the PlayStation 5 console, including some that revealed the personalities of the overzealous user.

Given the swift reaction from Ubisoft, the person who is the source of the leak can expect rather unpleasant consequences in the near future.

Premature information

Unplanned leak from The Crew Motorfest took place just a week before Ubisoft's Forward presentation, scheduled for June 12. Many racing game enthusiasts suggested that on that day we would learn new information about the upcoming game from Ivory Tower.

Nevertheless, the appearance of unofficial videos has reignited interest in the title. Let's hope next week's show will shed more light on the highly anticipated item.
