The Game Awards 2023 gala, the most important awards event in the game industry, is coming today. During the event we will get to know the winners in various categories as well as receive a solid portion of announcements and trailers for upcoming games.

The Game Awards 2023 - where to watch?

If you don't want to miss any important news from the gala, follow the entire event on our website. We will report for you throughout the day the most important news from the ceremony and share everything that the organizers have prepared.

The broadcast of The Game Awards 2023 will start at 4:30 p.m. PT on December 7. As report the organizers, the event will be available for viewing on at least four social networks:

  1. YouTube
  2. Twitch
  3. X
  4. Facebook

The originator and host of the whole event, Geoff Keighley, said recently that the event will last about the same amount of time as last year's edition. The upcoming edition is sure to be beefed up with additional security due to last year's incident.

Who will appear at The Game Awards 2023?

It's safe to say that yesterday marked the beginning of the most hectic period of preparations for the gala. Those in charge of the event want to heat up the atmosphere, so they have introduced several people who will attend the ceremony.

Among them will be certainly the three actors from the Fallout TV show: Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten and Walton Goggins. As a presenter we will see also popular DJ Zedd and actor Anthony Mackie, who starred in the TV adaptation of Twisted Metal - show nominated in the Best Adaptation category.

The Game Awards 2023 and initial predictions

We can 100% expect to hear more about a single-player game set in theDead by Daylight universe. The social media profiles of this title posted an official announcement of the game, co-developed by Supermassive Games, a studio specializing in interactive horror games (the Until Dawn, series The Dark Pictures Anthology or The Quarry).

Focus Entertainment is also teasing fans by publishing a meme referring to gamers asking about the release of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II. By such throw-ins, it seems almost obvious that we should get a specific date for the game's debut at the ceremony. A bit was also mentioned by the official account of Warframe; fans are to await news during the gala. According to some reports a trailer for Starfield DLC named Shattered Space is also to be shown.

We may also see the announcement of the DLC for God of War: Ragnarok - there were already rumors on this topic popping up online - as well as announcement of Dishonored 3. In addition, the presenters will probably say something about the remake of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons whole on stage, and we will certainly learn more about Metaphor: ReFantazio, which was confirmed by the organizers themselves.

Players Voice voting completed

Players Voice is a poll in which only players choose the title deserving to win. The third round recently ended, with voters already indicating only one game.

And let's not forget the completed voting for the nominees in other categories. In this case, however, the viewers' vote is less decisive, as the vast majority of the final verdict is determined by a jury of journalists.

It is worth mentioning that the biggest losers of this year's event are definitely Hogwarts Legacy, Diablo IV and Starfield. Despite a large number of players and high popularity , they have not received too many nominations (or none at all). Another issue is the emerging controversies in the selection of nominees for the best independent game award.

So we have nothing left to do but wait for the official start of the gala. We have a really interesting day ahead of us, which should give us a ton of excitement, great announcements and footage of upcoming games.
