Some interesting data related with The Witcher 3 Nintendo Switch edition appeared on the website of one of the French distributors. Bogus or not bogus?

Switch has Zelda, Skyrim, and it most probably could have The Witcher.

Very interesting information came to us from the website of one of French video game distributors - World Trade & Technology. According to them, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will debut on Nintendo Switch next year. However, before any lovely visions of playing the game on the console, let’s check a few facts. The website, where information about the Switch version of the game appeared, is no longer available. Naturally, nothing is lost on the web, so below you can see a screenshot of the data which contained some interesting info.

Would you like to play The Witcher 3 on Nintendo Switch?

And here we have more doubts. The first is the date of the premiere, which seems to be very indicative. The second controversial issue is the age category of PEGI which is 12+. Recall that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been classified as +18. Moreover, the game uses vulgar language and nudity. It is unlikely that the Switch version received a different PEGI rating, because it would mean that it was cut off from the content. However, it is possible that the shop is still waiting for official versions from the publisher.

An alternative explanation that would probably be less appealing to players might be to place the Wild Hunt data on the distributor's website as a placeholder, a substitute symbol for another game. This theory can be confirmed by the lack of an EAN (European Commodity Code) code on the seller's website.

The appearance of The Witcher 3 on the Nintendo portable console is definitely not impossible. It wouldn't be the first production that came to Switch after several years of existence on leading platforms. Previously, titles such as Doom, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim or Diablo III: Eternal Collection have followed a similar path. The premiere of The Witcher on Switch is facilitated by the fact that Nintendo is evidently trying to combat the label of Switch as a children's console. The question is, if the port rumors turned out to be true, the players would receive a title with add-ons? Because the information coming from the shop does not suggest anything like that.

A lot of time has passed since the premiere of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, because the production was released on 19 May 2015. The title has two official expansion packs - Heart of Stone and Blood and Wine. All content was released on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Is it not the best moment to introduce the game to the previously unexplored ground?
