Throne and Liberty population is decreasing, Talandre update may help
The popularity of Throne and Liberty slowly decreases. Will Wilds of Talandre change that?

Amazon Games really loves MMORPG. In the past couple of years, they published three titles from this genre. The most recent of them is Throne and Liberty, released October 1, 2024. The game initially attracted hundreds of thousands of players, but the user base has significantly decreased. However, developers from NCSOFT are still adding new content to it. Tomorrow, Wilds of Talandre will be available on all servers.
What happened to Throne and Liberty playerbase?
When the Throne and Liberty was initially released, many players were attracted to it. At its peak, back then, over 336,000 people were playing the game on Steam. It’s a really good result (although it's not as impressive as New World), so developers from NCSOFT had reason to be happy.
Unfortunately, after a good start, the game struggles to keep players interested. A closer look at the statistics on SteamDB reveals a slow decline. At the beginning, soon after release, we can see big, rapid increases in the number of gamers. However, later, the line is flattening out and there are mainly declines. Finally, by the end of November, the population had fallen below 100,000. Right now, Throne and Liberty can gather over 26,000 people at its peak.
However, you must remember that Throne and Liberty is also available on other platforms. So, it’s hard to estimate how big player base really is.
Throne and Liberty Wilds of Talandre coming tomorrow
There is a chance that Throne and Liberty will get some players back. Tomorrow (March 6) Wilds of Talandre will launch. This expansion will introduce many interesting elements to the game. The biggest novelties are new zone called Talandre with fresh events and bosses. The list of improvements also includes 3-star dungeons, changes in weapon mastery and new artifact system.
