Behaviour Interactive announced that The Hellraiser Chapter is leaving DBD next month. In return, Ken Kaneki from Tokyo Ghoul will be introduced as the first anime-based killer in the game. You can check him right now, but only on test servers.

Tokyo Ghoul is coming to DBD. Ken Kaneki is the new killer

If you have read or watched Tokyo Ghoul, you probably know that Ken Kaneki isn’t an evil character. So, what happened? In DBD lore, he was taken right after Jason tortured him. With his mental health not in the best place, he was captured by the Fog and turned into a killer.

At first glance, the Ghoul appears to be an assassin with a lot of potential, but one that requires practice to unleash it. In the base mode, he can launch two Kagune tentacles. They allow you to attach to surfaces (or survivors) and move across the map. Additionally, you must remember that falling from the height will bring your ability on cooldown.

That’s not all. When you hit a healthy victim with the second dash (tentacle) you will deal him damage, inflict Deep Wounds and leave a Kagune Mark. This also triggers Enraged Mode, which will last as long as marked survivors are fully mended or downed.

Enraged Mode gives you an additional Kagune launch. You also vault quicker if you stick a tentacle to a survivor. However, you can’t deal damage to a marked person using Ghoul’s special ability.

Of course, Kaneki Ken also brings three unique perks. To be honest, they are not impressive and probably will not be a frequent choice of players.

Perk

Description

Hex: Nothing But Misery

After hitting Survivors 8 times with basic attacks, a dull totem becomes a hex totem. After that, damaging a Survivor with a basic attack makes them 5% Hindered for 10/12.5/15 seconds.

Forever Entwined

You gain 1 token (up to 6/7/8) when a Survivor takes damage. Each of them increases your speed by 4% for picking up, dropping, and hooking Survivors.

None Are Free

You gain 1 token (up to 4) each time you hook a Survivor for the first time. When all generators are completed, windows and standing pallets are blocked for everyone for 12/14/16 seconds per token.

Ken Kaneki is currently available only on Public Test Servers via Steam. To access it, right-click Dead by Daylight in your Steam Library, select Properties, click the "Betas" tab, and choose "public-test".
