Total War: Warhammer to offer mod support since day one

Players will be able to install and create Total War: Warhammer modifications since day one, revealed Creative Assembly.

Despite previous uncertainty on the matter, Creative Assembly has announced that Total War: Warhammer is going to offer mod support right from the game’s launch. Together with Games Workshop they smoothed things out so as to enable both Assembly Kit and Steam Workshop support on day one. The former will initially lack some of its features, but these will be added later in the future. For the convenience of fans, the developers will also prepare a new Total War Launcher Mod Manager.

Moreover, Creative Assembly are collaborating with acknowledged modders to make their modifications available since day one. They are Magnar and Dresden, who are working on Legendary Lord Start Position Mod and Regional Occupation Mod (enabling each race to settle every region), respectively.

The upcoming installment in the popular grand strategy franchise is coming out on PC further this month on May 24. For the first week after the launch players will be able to pick the Chaos Warriors Race Pack DLC for free.
