A free prologue of a new, friendly city builder titled United Penguin Kingdom will debut today on Steam. The game will enable us to lead a settlement of penguins, who must defend themselves against murderous orcas and thieving seals.
The fact that not only people (or occasionally - representatives of other civilizations) can become the protagonists of city builders, was proven, among other things, thanks to the bestselling Timberborn. Now, independent studio Turquoise Revival Games is tackling this subject, working on the project called United Penguin Kingdom.
Today, the developers will release a free prologue titled United Penguin Kingdom: Huddle Up, which will enable us to stand at the head of the penguin settlement and lead it through its first year of operation. Full version of United Penguin Kingdom is scheduled to debut in 2024.
While playing United Penguin Kingdom we will be engaged in acquiring raw materials, erecting various buildings, trading and spending the accumulated funds on developing the settlement or fulfilling various whims of our citizens.
In addition, defense will play an important role. As our village will be able to be attacked by murderous orcas trying to destroy the structures we have erected, as well as by thieving seals stealing food from the warehouses., we will have to think in advance about countermeasures, e.g. construction of defensive towers.
What will distinguish the described title from the majority of games of this type are unusual citizens, whom we will be leading Penguins from time to time will have to amuse themselves by going to movie theaters or arcades, as well as going to skating rinks or karting tracks. In addition, our avian charges should take care of their bodies by working out at gyms, traimning at fight clubs or meditating. In addition, they will take time for intellectual and spiritual development, including studying in schools, visiting museums and libraries, practicing yoga or, finally, taking part in... collective cuddles.
The game will offer colorful and detailed graphics. Its system requirements await you below.
