Vanishing Ranks, Long Waiting Times - CS:GO in Serious Trouble

There have been a few annoying bugs in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in recent days that make it difficult or even impossible to have fun. The cause of the problems is most likely a failure of the matchmaking system. The developers from Valve haven't responded to the case yet.

A number of problems in CS:GO.

If you are playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and after logging in you have encountered problems such as loss of rank, very long waiting time for a game or resetting win counter, we assure you that the cause is not on your PC. Difficulties are caused by the failure of the matchmaking system and experienced by players from all over the world - numerous threads appeared on Reddit, describing various types of "adventures" of users.

It is worth noting that the apparent resetting of rank - probably the most serious of these errors - can only be a visual bug, as some people report that they see the rank of their friends. The reasons for all these complications are not known yet - we can only guess that they are caused by server problems or changes introduced by the developers in the last patch. The developers have not yet commented on the situation.

Interestingly, this is the second Valve title that has been causing problems for its users in recent days - Team Fortress 2 has been affected by a bug that causes one of the rare cosmetic items to fall out of every box opened by players. In one evening the bug almost completely wrecked the in-game economy.

CS:GO is available on PC and previous generation consoles (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360).
