RPG Wartales Will Get a Free DLC, Including a Big Attraction

Strategy RPG Wartales will receive a sizable free expansion, with a new city and a ton of content. The release is coming soon.

Wartales - a turn-based fantasy strategy game set in medieval times - has been playable for a few months as part of early access. Studio Shiro Games is wasting no time and, as announced two months ago, the developers presented details of the free DLC titled Great Gosenberg.

The new content was discussed yesterday on the studio's official channel on YouTube. You can watch the DLC's trailer below:

The video is just over a minute long, but you can pick up some interesting facts from it. Just as it was with the first major update, here, too, we will get completely new regions. We are talking about the title city of Gosenberg - it's mainstay is the production of wine, which is the most valuable commodity in the region and the main object of trade. Easy profit attracts not only powerful men and artists, but also our band of mercenaries. When one of the seven rich aristocrats is murdered, we are hired to find and punish the culprits at all costs. The release of Great Gosenberg will take place in September.

In addition to the city, theDLC will offer the players new adventures, challenges, skirmishes and gold to collect. The merchant ship le Magnifique was also unveiled, although the studio says it has no plans to implement sea travel. The DLC will also introduce new mini-games, such as rugby-style brawling. The update will also raise the character level cap.

Wartales can be played in early access from December 2021. The release of the full version is scheduled for later this year. The title is only available on PC via Steam.
