Where Was Echo Filmed? Marvel's Show Shooting Locations
All episodes of Marvel's new series, Echo, are now available to watch on Disney. The production impresses with its diverse locations. We check out where the shots for Maya Lopez's adventure were shot.
Marvel Cinematic Universe fans have the opportunity to watch the latest series Echo, which depicts the story of Maya Lopez following the events of Hawkeye. The presented story has a strong connection to the background of the protagonist, who is a member of the Choctaw tribe living in the state of Oklahoma. However, the creators shot Echo in entirely different locations (vide Wikipedia).
The filming for the series started on April 21, 2022, and took place mainly in two locations: Fayetteville, Georgia, and Atlanta. Interestingly, a blessing ceremony of the Choctaw tribe was performed before entering the set. Later, the crew moved to the town of Peachtree, located in the Fayette county region, and to Social Circle, which is situated at the junction of Walton and Newton counties. The shooting in these places lasted until August 2022.
Scenes for two episodes were also filmed in Grantville, Georgia, between May 16 and 20. Another set of photos on the outskirts of Atlanta started around June 1, 2022 with the first group of actors, and another group arrived at the shooting location three weeks later.
The creators used the help of the Choctaw tribe to locate areas in Georgia that could replicate the landscapes known from Oklahoma. This definitely sped up the work on the set, which in total lasted for 92 days and concluded on August 26, 2022. The entire team has spent an intense four months, and we can already assess the results of their work. Currently, 77% of viewers have given a positive rating to Echo on Rotten Tomatoes.
