The second season of Last Epoch will launch next April. The developers have revealed another part of new features heading to the game.
While Path of Exile 2 is currently on the lips of every hack'n'slash fan, it's also worth keeping an eye on what the competition is doing. Eleventh Hour Games has just announced numerous new features and presented an updated roadmap for Last Epoch. It must be admitted that the upcoming season promises to be very interesting.
Let's remember that the first season launched back in July of this year and didn't fully meet the players' expectations. So, the developers are making their fans wait a really long time for the next big update. The wait for happiness is slowly coming to an end, and as we get closer to the second season, the developers intend to reveal something more.
The second season focuses on areas that have sparked the greatest interest, such as expanded content in the endgame, a better experience for new players, and improvements to dungeons, performance, and balance. Yesterday a post was published on the forum where the devs mentioned a few specific elements.
Besides, the devs have ensured that they will fix many bugs to provide a more stable and efficient experience. Numerous smaller features will be added, including UI improvements, changes to keys, improved sounds, and much more.
Unfortunately, the second season will launch a bit later than initially estimated. It won't hit the servers until April 2025. The developers made this decision to provide players with the best possible experience.
In the revealed roadmap, the developers also briefly outlined what we can expect in the future after the end of season 2. There isn't much of it and it's only written in general terms, so we'll have to wait a bit for more specific information.
In the future, new "pinnacle bosses," the most powerful enemies, will be added to the game, available to defeat in the final stage of the game. The monolith system will continue to be improved, and the campaign will get a continuation. In addition, "skill seals" will be added, as well as transmogrification and dyes systems. Controller improvements were also announced.
