- One player recreated White Orchard from The Witcher 3 in Minecraft;
- He focused not only on the main buildings, but also on landscape;
- In the future, he intends to recreate other areas known from CD Projekt RED's game.
Minecraft players will probably never cease to amaze with the scale of their virtual projects, often inspired by popular brands, such as Star Wars or Lord of the Rings. Now it's the turn of The Witcher, specifically Wild Hunt. One of the players recreated the entire starting location, the White Orchard, in the game.
User Equal-Tangerine6532 presented his work on Reddit and it's very impressive. We're talking about a complete recreation of the area known from CD Projekt RED's production. The player didn't focus only on the main village and the ruins scattered around it. He also made sure that the terrain was the same as in The Witcher 3.
Not surprisingly, the published screenshots made an impression on other Reddit users. Some asked the creator about how he created the map. In response, he revealed that the World Painter app helped him customize the terrain. He also admitted that the location is not yet finished. As you can see on the presented images, the castle ruins where the Nilfgaard soldiers were stationed are still missing.
Nevertheless, the player's work is already awe-inspiring, given the accuracy of his recreation. By the way, we also know that this will not be his last project. In one of the comments he admitted that in the future he intends to do the same with Velen, Kaer Morhen and Skellige. These projects will require even more time due to their much larger scale.
It's worth mentioning that it's not the first Minecraft project inspired by The Witcher. In 2018, the Elysium Fire group recreated Novigrad in Mojang's game. It took them about six months to build the city, and the final result is really impressive.
