What does the future look like for SAS: Rogue Heroes, will there be a season 3? Steven Knight has some good news.
Steven Knight, creator of Peaky Blinders, is at the helm of yet another interesting series – SAS: Rogue Heroes. This underrated series, which may have been overlooked by many viewers, is a piece of solid television that has already lived to see 2 seasons, the last of which turned out in January 2025. Based on the book by Ben Macintyre, this production tells the story of the rise of the famous British Army Special Air Service (SAS) unit during the Western Desert Campaign of World War II.
The cast of SAS: Rogue Heroes includes: Connor Swindells, Jack O'Connell, Alfie Allen, Jacob Ifan, Sofia Boutella and Dominic West.
Will there be an SAS: Rogue Heroes season 3?
Fans of SAS: Rogue Heroes may be wondering if the series will continue, especially after this ending of season 2. At this point, the future of the series is uncertain; season 3 has not been officially announced. But Steven Knight shared some good news when he was a guest on the Bingeworthy podcast (via The Direct). He revealed that he is working on SAS: Rogue Heroes season 3 and this one is expected to top what happened in previous seasons.
Q: I love [Paddy Mayne's] arc in that second season.
Knight: You wait 'til [season] 3. Oh my god.
Knight confessed that they can't end the series this way, and from his words it seems that he is very much looking forward to a continuation, which he is apparently already working on.
We can't leave it there. We can't leave it there. No, no, we will. There's more to come. And I agree, I think its trajectory will be similar to 'Peaky [Blinders'] where people discover it.
However, it's unclear whether this is just Knight's wishful thinking, or whether he knows something that simply hasn't been made public yet, but fans of SAS: Rogue Heroes should be pleased to hear that there are desires for a continuation of show, so there's a chance that more episodes will be made. However, we have to wait for an official decision on season 3.
