Ryzens will be faster thanks to the update?

AMD is proud to announce that the May update for Windows 10 increased the efficiency of the Ryzen series of processors (via Overclock3D). It is worth noting that we are talking not only about Ryzen 3000 units, which will have their premiere in July this year, but also about older systems from the 1000 and 2000 lines. All thanks to the improvements in the scheduler of the latest version of the OS. In some cases, the efficiency gains are expected to be as high as 15%.

The acceleration effect is to be achieved by making the operating system more efficient in selecting the core to perform the task. We also expect the a clock frequency increase in the Turbo mode. To enjoy better performance, we just need to install the latest patch for Windows 10.

Unfortunately, although the boasts of AMD" look very attractive on paper, they are not necessarily reflected in reality. This is shown by tests performed by independent experts - e.g. comparison, which can be found on the Hardware Unboxed channel (you can see them below). In practice, the differences in performance oscillate within the limits of statistical error.

Despite the rather poor results, the fact that Microsoft updates the kernel of its operating system, improving its operation with AMD processors, is undoubtedly good news. Perhaps the actions of the concern will bring better results in the future? All we can do is keep our fingers crossed for it.
