We finally learned the release date of the Webgrave update for Witchfire, an RPG shooter currently in early access, created by The Astronauts studio. The patch will be released on July 28th this year.

This will be the biggest update so far for Witchfire (the next one, as the developers themselves admit). Last week, the devs revealed the changes that will happen in the RPG mechanics. Now they have shared other new features that will be introduced.

  1. Two new levels of Gnosis will be added (the higher the level, the more locations we can unlock and the more hidden things we can see, which provides access to better loot. However, the witch will also start to respect us more and send us increasingly difficult challenges).
  2. A shotgun named Nemesis will be added to the game.
  3. In the next two weeks, the creators will publish two more articles to share the latest novelties from the Webgrave update.

This update will also add a new location, surpassing in size any of those currently in the game. It will also be inhabited by a completely new set of enemies.

Webgrave won't be the end of Witchfire's development in early access. Two more major game updates are planned for this year. On the other hand, version 1.0 is set to launch in the first few months of 2026.

Witchfire is currently available exclusively on PC. You can buy the game on Steam or Epic Games Store.
