Cookie Jam likes to remind us that its main theme is cooking through Buzzwords. One of the questions is “Any baked doughy treat!”. Let’s answer it together.
I may be repeating myself, but my favorite part of Cookie Jam is Buzzwords. This weekly event keeps me hooked. I like questions which I struggle with the most. You may ask why - the answer is simple; I like learning new things. And let’s be honest, this time, Buzzwords offer many possibilities to do just that, as there are many questions about some regional dishes! Let’s look at “Layers of fruits, sponge, and custard” (England), “Sweet, flaky pastry from Denmark”, “Sweet bread that contains eggs and butter” (France), “[blank] bread, doesn’t stay around for long” (Scotland). “Any baked doughy treat!” is a general question though, however, it is equally interesting.
As I am quite interested in cooking, this question was quite easy for me, almost as “[blank] as sugar” or “Keeps you clean while baking”. However, I understand that not all of us are culinary experts (me neither, I often have to search for the answers myself! Wikipedia is my best friend!). That’s why we are here:
Pastry is a general name for doughs and all baked treats, which are made from them. They can be both sweet and savory! I can imagine that answering this question can be especially hard for people who are not English native speakers, as they don’t have many opportunities to see this word at all. However, now you know. Good luck while answering the rest of Cookie Jam questions!
I almost forgot! Feel free to stay a little bit on our website and look at other guides, articles and news we offer!
