If you can’t figure out the hint “Pandas, polar, grizzly,” you are in a good place. We have the answer to this Cookie Jam question.
Are you good at finding meaningful connections between various words? It seems that there are more than 2 such questions in this week’s Buzzwords in Cookie Jam. After answering “Sun, palms, warm rain, fruits exotic and sweet” and “Cotton candy, red globe, concord,” it is time to face “Pandas, polar, grizzly.” Luckily for us, it is the shortest and (at least for me) the easiest one to solve of them all. So, if you are puzzled by this hint, feel free to read our guide.
Once again, we have to face the question where we need to find something which connects a few words. Fortunately, the answer immediately came to my mind. If you were not so lucky, though, we present the solution:
All these three animals are kinds of bear. They are distinct, live in totally different places, and even do not eat the same food, so it is easy to forget that, at the same time, they are cousins. Giant pandas, polar bears and grizzly bears are part of the Ursidae family. They are not alone, though. There are 8 bear species in total, we can also add to the list: spectacled bear, sloth bear, sun bear, Asian black bear, American black bear, and brown bear. If you did the math and counted 9 (adding 3 from the Cookie Jam hint), you are correct. Grizzly is a subspecies of brown bear, which lives in North America.
Answering this question was much more interesting than I anticipated. It’s time to move on, though and face “Don’t be crumby, let’s jam.” As always, good luck.
