Blizzard on WoW's Future, Embers of Neltharion Update Video

On May 2 the most popular representative of the MMO genre, World of Warcraft, will get the major update numbered 10.1, which will officially kick off Season 2 of the Dragonflight expansion.

The new patch for WoW, titled Neltharion's Fires, will not only offer a continuation of the expansion's storyline, but will also introduce a ton of new content, including another area and a race.

Update 10.1 - a ton of content

What does patch 10.1 introduce to World of Warcraft Dragonflight? The Neltharion's Fires update is the biggest update to for the Dragonflight expansion since its debut in late November 2022. It will introduce many new features, as well as rebuild one of the game's key systems.

• Players will gain access to a major new location - Zaralek's Cave,
• The cave will be inhabited by a race of humanoid mole-like creatures - the Niffen, who will help players earn reputation points, which can then be exchanged for valuable rewards and treasures,
• along with the debut of season 2, the game will get a new raid: Abberus - Shadow Crucible,
• importantly, a complete overhaul will be given to the system of upgrading equipment, which will now be based on acquiring Flightstones and Shadowflame Crests,
• the rotating pool of Mythic dungeons , which will offer eight underworlds, will also change,
• new armors will soon come to the game, which, as the developers point out, will be obtained in several ways,
• interestingly, patch 10.1 will also enable playing together with friends from the opposite side of the conflict, as part of the cross-faction guild feature,
• in addition to the aforementioned changes, new but standard content related to the debut of the new season will come to the game. Players will encounter more events, ride a new dragon, collect the latest glyphs, as well as acquire rare materials and recipes needed to craft items,
• patch 10.1 could not miss numerous changes in the balance and minor improvements. Among other things, the user interface will be modified.
