Dead Island 2 Needs Even More Zombie Carnage? Developers May Have a Plan

Dead Island 2 developers admit that they are considering adding a New Game Plus mode to the game, which would make re-playing the campaign more interesting.

It's only been a few days since the release of Dead Island 2, so many players still haven't completed the campaign. However, the studio responsible for the game, Dambuster, is already thinking about providing them with a new experience.

  1. The developers revealed that they are considering adding a New Game Plus mode. More details are expected to be revealed soon.
  2. The information was revealed yesterday, during a broadcast on the XboxOn Twitch channel by Adam Duckett, i.e. one of the game's lead designers.
  3. This does not mean that New Game Plus will definitely be added to Dead Island 2, but Duckett's statement suggests that it will most likely happen.

Recall that Dead Island 2 made its debut on April 21. The game was released simultaneously on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PlayStation 5.

We waited nine years for the game, but its latest incarnation, for which Dambuster is responsible, was developed in less than four years. Dead Island 2 was received warmly. The game is getting good reviews and on OpenCritic it has an average rating of 75%. The title is also achieving impressive sales results.

Dead Island 2 appealed to the players and therefore many people would love to play through the campaign again, with a higher difficulty level and keeping all the upgrades, and this is what the New Game Plus mode would offer. Therefore, we hope that the developers will decide to implement it.
