Xbox Games on Virtual Screen; Xbox Cloud Gaming to Join Meta Quest Store

The announcement of the Meta Quest Pro goggles wasn't all that yesterday's Meta Connect 2022 event brought, with the announcement that Xbox Cloud Gaming is entering VR. This is the result of a partnership that Microsoft has established with Meta.

As you know, Xbox - unlike PlayStation - did not live to see its own dedicated VR device, but this does not mean that the brand is not involved in the sphere of virtual reality. As reported by IGN, in fact, during yesterday's Meta Connect 2022, it was confirmed that Xbox Cloud Gaming will be coming to the Meta Quest Store in the future (at the time of writing, we did not know the exact date).

Xbox Cloud Gaming - a handful of information

We need to calm down those who may have gotten too excited. The partnership that Microsoft has established with Meta will not make the games available for Xbox play like native VR titles. Instead Xbox Cloud Gaming will take the form of a huge 2D screen (you can see a visualization of it below), displayed by the Quest goggles. Cloud Gaming will also require an Xbox controller and an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription..

In turn, a week earlier, on November 3, Quest 2 goggle owners will be able to play Iron Man VR, a production that has so far been available only on PlayStation.

There is also good news for horror fans. On December 1, we will see the second chapter of The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners. In addition, the developers of this game are preparing a new VR game. The project is called Behemoth.

The Met is getting armed

Finally, let us add that Meta has acquired (via Upload) ,among others, Armature Studio (the team behind Resident Evil 4 VR), Camoflaj Team (the aforementioned Iron Man) and Twisted Pixel (Wilson's Heart). This means that we can look forward to more VR productions from it in the future.
