Yesterday Origins, an adventure game from Runaway devs, coming out today

Pendulo Studios, the team behind the Runaway series, have finished works on another point-and-click adventure game. Yesterday Origins, a sequel to 2012's Yesterday, is launching today on PC, XONE, and PS4.

While still working on Syberia 3, the team at Microids have been co-producing another adventure game together with Pendulo Studios, creators of the Runaway series. We’re talking here about Yesterday Origins, a sequel to a point-and-click thriller from 2012 called Yesterday, which is coming out today for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, with mobile versions to follow next year. Watch the launch trailer below, so to get an outline of the game’s story or meet familiar heroes if you played the first Yesterday.

Yesterday Origins is going to unravel the story of John Yesterday, a man who gained immortality through an occultistic ritual. However, this proves to be a curse rather than a blessing, since every time he dies, his memories are wiped clean. Together with his girlfriend Pauline, John traces back his story throughout the ages all the way back to 1481, when he was forcefully subdued to an alchemical transformation. Players who know other Pendulo’s games know that they can expect some dark humor, colorful characters, and compelling narrative.
