The Sinking City: How to heal?

On this page of our guide to The Sinking City, you will learn how to heal. Physical and mental health must be treated separately. Both bars are equally important - Reed can die if you don't treat him in the right way.

The health bars are presented in the bottom left corner of the screen:

1. The red bar is for physical health.
2. The blue bar is for mental health.

Both bars are equally important. If one of them is empty, Reed will die.

Physical health doesn't regenerate on its own. To replenish it, use a First Aid Kit. These items can be found during exploration, received from NPCs, or crafted - you need 2x Alcohol and 1x Coil Springs. You can carry 3 First Aid Kits by default but this limit can be increased.

Mental health does regenerate on its own but this process takes a lot of time. Reed with low mental health can experience hallucinations that can even "attack" him. This mechanic encourages players to restore the mental health bar. You can do that by using Antipsychotics. These items can be found during exploration, received from NPCs, or crafted - you need 1x Alcohol and 1x Coil Springs. You can carry 3 Antipsychotics by default but this limit can be increased.
