Unlocking

The Pride Ain't Cheap quest begins when you reach the first point on the map. This quest will unlock only when you complete the first four quests available in the game (Final Exam, Winged Bandit, A Joint Venture, Good Money).

The Witcher

When you reach the question mark, you will see a witcher. He is in a coma. You need to examine him and gather all the important information.

Your next task will be to take him to the healer Varik.

The Healer

You will learn from the healer that the witcher tried to walk among highly poisonous plants without a proper potion. In order to save him you have to acquire:

1. drowner spittle,
2. mistle root.

Before you do this, you must drink a potion from the healer to become immune to the poisonous plants.

When you bring the ingredients to the healer, he will ask you to give him 12 hours. When you return after the time has passed, you will find out that the witcher has woken up. It's Vesemir. You can talk to him now. He will give you a new quest - The Sins of Our Fathers.
