Using signs
Witcher signs recharge during combat. Right from the start you can use a sign that will allow you to use fire attacks.
Signs can be used every few/several dozen seconds after the energy recharges. This will highlight the sign at the bottom of the screen. To use the selected sign, you must draw its symbol on the screen.
Igni Sign
Effect: allows you to deal fire damage.
How to get: available from the beginning of the game.
Aard Sign
Effect: deals kinetic damage that stuns the enemy for a second.
How to get: you can purchase it from the skill tree after reaching level 10.
Quen Sign
Effect: casting this sign makes you absorb 70% of your opponent's attacks.
How to get: you can purchase it from the skill tree after reaching level 15.
